Benefits and Services
The VA New York Regional Office administers compensation, pension, and Veteran Readiness and Employment benefits for Veterans, Servicemembers, their families and survivors in 31 eastern New York counties. We also offer the following services:
Counseling about eligibility for VA benefits and how to apply
Information about VA health care and memorial benefits
Outreach to Veterans, including those who are homeless or at risk for homelessness and older, minority, and women Veterans
Veterans with Spinal Cord Injuries - Independent Living and Employment Opportunity
We've partnered with the James J. Peters VA Medical Center (Bronx, NY) in the Spinal Cord Injury Patient Care Unit, who is dedicated to promoting independent living and employment opportunities for our Veterans with spinal cord injuries.
Services provided include:
Assistive Computer Technology, and Home Improvements and Modifications Grant Guidance
Pain Management, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and, Vocational Counseling

Effective January 2022 the New York Regional Office will be opened to the public on during the following hours: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm for benefits inquiries and for Veterans Readiness and Employment inquiries.
